The Cathedral Notre-Dame in Amiens

The South doorway is undergoing cleaning.

Gargoyles. This cathedral is almost twice the size of St. Omer's.

It was built by Robert de Luzarches, who was succeeded by Thomas de Courmont and then his son Renaud. Construction started in 1220. As you can see, the West end has been cleaned.

The detailed carvings are amazing.
